About Us

How We Started:

I started Manning Gardens Flower Farm in 2019 with a passion for all the things- flowers, plants, and gardening.   A creative and fun hobby that turned into a business, with just a few tubers, some seeds, and a dream.  Long story short I stumbled upon Florets “Cut Flower Garden Course” in 2018, and I instantly enrolled and the rest is history!

Our farm is nestled in the heart of Oregon’s beautiful Willamette Valley, more specifically the tiny historical town of Brownsville.  We are a small family-owned and operated flower farm, focusing on regenerative gardening practices to bring the highest quality of dahlia tubers, seeds, and cut flowers from our farm to your garden and table.

Our Journey:

In the early years, I did a little bit of everything—growing and selling cut flowers, offering tubers, and even creating florals for weddings. It’s been a journey of learning, growth, and following what truly lights me up.

As the years have passed, I’ve narrowed my focus to what I love most in the garden: growing and hybridizing flowers, with a deep passion dahlias.  From collecting unicorn varieties, tried and true favorite, and hybridizing new dahlia varieties.

Today, I grow over 100 dahlia varieties, which I offer in our annual tuber sale every winter.  I take great pride in offering healthy, high-quality dahlia tubers so others can grow beautiful, thriving flowers in their own gardens.

What’s Coming:

When it comes to hybridizing and introducing new dahlia varieties to the world, my goal is to find blooms that I think are truly exquisite flowers with unique color palettes and forms, paired with strong garden performance, abundant blooms, and reliable tuber production.  I am hoping to release my first varieties to the world in 2027.

Thank you for being here and for supporting our small flower farm. We’re so grateful to share this journey—and these flowers—with you.
